Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Amritsar, A few fays after the Punjab Government withdrawing his security and doing a volte-face within 24 hours, former Amritsar MP Navjot Sidhu seems to have roped in a private security agency for himself. Its guards were seen around him during his private visit here on the occasion of his birthday today.
Sidhu landed at Sri Guru Ramdas Jee International Airport here this morning to participate in religious rituals being performed at his newly built home at Holy City locality. Around a dozen security personnel of the private agency attired in blue uniform were spotted at Sidhu’s residence while he was performing ‘havan’ along with his wife Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu.
They also escorted him in a separate vehicle to the airport in the afternoon when he had to board a return flight from the city.
The security personnel provided by the state government to him were also present in civvies.
Sidhu refused to comment on the matter.
