Marathon will close roads throughout the city this Sunday
TORONTO:Toronto Police have issued a notice for road closures in the city this Sunday.
The 22nd GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon will be taking place throughout the city, from North York to downtown to Etobicoke this weekend. Participants from over 50 countries are expected to take part in the marathon.
The event includes a full marathon, relay marathon, half marathon, 10km run and 5km run and walk.
The marathon raises funds for local charities, including The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and Sick Kids.
City officials will be assisting TTC vehicles to help keep disruptions to a minimum. Police are advising motorists to consider the marathon as they plan their travels.
