AAP constitutes 3 member panel to streamline future Joinings in Punjab

Chandigarh, 25 April: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to constitute a central panel for Punjab which would be the final decision making body before any one joined the party at any level in the state.

The aforesaid decision was taken during the meeting of the Election Campaign Committee of Punjab held here last evening.

Giving details National Spokesman and in charge Punjab Party affairs, Sanjay Singh said after having detailed deliberations and consultations with the various members of the election campaign committee it has been decided to constitute a central panel which would be the final decision making body on the issue of anyone joining the party in Punjab.

“ The members of the central panel include national organizational secretary, Durgesh Pathak, Sangrur MP, Bahgwant Mann and Punjab convener, Sucha Singh Chhotepur”, Sanjay Singh informed.

Sanjay Singh said all zonal and sector in charge and also the central observers of the party in Punjab have been informed with immediate effect that they should not decide or effect any new joining in the party without or before consulting the central panel. The decision has been taken to streamline the various joinings in the party all across the state.

Another important decision taken during the meeting included AAP deciding to gherao Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s residence in Chandigarh on May 16 to protest again Rs. 12,000 crore food scandal in Punjab.

AAP had demanded a probe by a sitting Supreme Court Judge into the biggest food scandal occurred in Parkash Singh Badal led SAD-BJP alliance government after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) found food stocks worth Rs. 12,000 crore went missing from the Punjab godowns.

The RBI about a week ago had discovered that food grains supposed to have been purchased with bank funds have vanished from Food Corporation of India (FCI) godwons in Punjab.

Before May 16 the AAP would hold protest demonstrations at various parliamentary and assembly segments in the state to highlight the food scam so that the real cultpirts could be brought to justice.

Those who were present in the meeting included Sanjay Singh, Sucha Singh Chhotepur, Bhagwant Mann, HS Kang, Himmat Singh Shergill, Harjot Singh Bains, Prof. Baljinder Kaur, Yamini Gaumar, Karanvir Singh Tiwana, Kultar Singh, Jagtar Singh Sanghera and Buta Singh Ashant.
