Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
CHANDIGARH, April 22: Senior Congress leader Dilbar Mohammad Khan has been appointed Chairman of the minority department of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee.
The appointment was made recently by the Congress President Ms Sonia Gandhi.
The PCC president Capt Amarinder Singh welcomed Mr Khan’s appointment saying it will further strengthen the party in the state. He said, the minority communities have always been supportive of the Congress and the party looks forward to their support this time also.
Expressing his gratitude to the party high command for reposing faith in him, Khan said, he will ensure that the party won in the coming elections under the leadership of Capt Amarinder Singh. He said, only Congress can watch and safeguard the interests of the minorities.
