Toronto, A new poll suggests Mayor John Tory continues to enjoy strong public support as nearly three quarters of Torontonians say they support the job he has done so far.
The Forum Research poll, which was released Monday, shows that among the 908 Toronto voters surveyed, 72 per cent approve of Tory and the work he has been doing.
Tory’s approval is highest among the oldest respondents (82 per cent) and the wealthiest respondents (80 per cent).
“Mr. Tory is adept at not putting a foot wrong, even if he rarely ventures a foot in any direction without hedging his bets,” Lorne Bozinoff, president of Forum Research, said in analysis accompanying the poll.
“He is a consummate expectations manager.”
The poll, which was conducted on March 22, is considered accurate plus or minus 3 per cent, 19 times pout of 20.
