* Says wave in favour of the alliance will take it beyond its Mission 60 Plus target
Nilokheri/ Pehowa, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today said the INLD–SAD combine was not a simple alliance but an inseparable bond which would pave the wave for prosperity in Haryana.
Addressing a massive gathering at Nilokheri in support of INLD candidate Mamu Ram, the SAD president said the bond between the
INLD and SAD was one like between real brothers and no one could break it.
Mr Badal said Chaudhary Devi Lal and Sardar Parkash Singh Badal had always lived among the people and had taken each and every community along with them during their long political innings. “This is why people have reposed faith again and again in Badal Sahab and this is why they have decided to give a thumping majority to Chautala Sahab now”, he said.
The SAD president also outlined how the earlier Congress government in Punjab had tried to finish the Badal family politically by registering false cases against its family members. “The Congress has used the CBI for this task to persecute the Chautala family also”, he said adding Chautala Sahab and the INLD had only emerged stronger after this ordeal.
The SAD president said Haryana was witnessing a a wave in favour of the INLD and it now seemed the INLD – SAD alliance would achieve its “Mission 60 Plus” target with ease. Mr Badal remarked “I have fought many elections but never witnessed so much anger against any political party as I am witnessing against the Congress in this election. It seems the people of Haryana have decided to finally rid Haryana of the Congress”, he added.
While addressing the rally at Nilokheri besides rallies at Pehowa and Panchkula, Mr Badal said Haryana lost out during the last ten years because Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda did not behave like a chief minister. “Hooda was only interested in the welfare of Rohtak district because it was represented by his son Deepinder in parliament. He unfortunately also sold off the interests of the State and its land to keep Robert Vadra, the son in law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi happy. It is because of this that when Hooda Sahab proclaims that Haryana is number one through a 200 crore advertisement campaign no one believes him”.
While addressing a rally in Panchkula,’Mr Badal outlined how Panchkula was compared in league with Chandigarh a decade back but had now slipped terribly. He said Mohali, which was part of the tricity, had so much happening for it with a new airport as well as an IT city and Edu city coming up there while no development had happened in Panchkula in the last ten years.
Senior SAD leaders including N K Sharma and mp Ranjit Singh Brahmpura were also present at the rallies.
