Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh : The Congress legislature party today met the Hon Governor of Punjab in Chandigarh and submitted him the copy of the bill and passed by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on 15-03-16.
Talking to media persons after meeting the Hon’ governor of Punjab, S Charanjit Singh Channi, leader of opposition, said that till today the Chief minister of Punjab S Parkash Singh Badal has not sent the transfer of propriety rights bill 2016 to the Hon Governor for his assent. The chief minister is playing with the sentiments of the people of Punjab. They are applying double standards, obviously politically motivated and misleading the people of Punjab. They are trying to demonstrate that they have passed the bill in public interest but on the other side they are applying lackluster approach for getting your assent.
Channi further said that all the congress legislatures requested the Hon’ Governor to kindly grant the assent to the bill immediately in the larger interest of the state of Punjab and its peasantry.
