Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, March 7: The Punjab Congress MLAs would march to the state assembly tomorrow morning on the opening day of the budget session wearing black arm bands to protest against the stand taken by the Narendra Modi government on the SYL Canal issue in the Supreme Court.
It may be mentioned that the Modi government has stated that the Punjab Termination of Agreements Act, 2004, is against directions of the apex court on this issue. This legislation was enacted during Capt Amarinder Singh regime to stop construction of SYL Canal.
