Majithia felicitates people on parkash purab of Guru Ramdas Ji

Chandigarh, Punjab Revenue & Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia today felicitated all the Punjabis living across the globe on the auspicious occasion of Parkash Purab of Sr Guru Ram Das ji.
In a message, Mr. Majithia said that the great Guru throughout his life preached the gospels of Sikh faith besides promoting social values in accordance with the teachings of the faith. Guru Ram Das ji was an epitome of humility imbued with a great sense of service. Guru Ji urged that one could fulfill one’s life not merely by quiet meditation, but by actively participating in the joys and sorrows of others. This is how one could also rid oneself of the prime malady – Ego, and end his spiritual loneliness, he added.
He said that Sri Guru Granth Sahib contains 688 Hymns from Guru Ram Das and these were composed in 30 ragas. He said that Guru ji also founded the beautiful city of Amritsar and populated it to meet all the cultural and spiritual needs of the region of Punjab.
He appealed to the people to celebrate this sacred occasion with utmost devotion and religious fervor.
