Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, February 10- The Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today gave nod for appointment of Mr. DS Bains IAS (Retd.) as the Chairman of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC).
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Mr. Badal cleared the file to this effect, today morning.
The spokesperson further said that Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, who also holds the portfolio of Power in the state, had recommended the name of Mr. Bains for this coveted post. Likewise, on his recommendations Mr. Santokh Singh Sarna has been appointed as Member- 2 in the commission. Since, the applications for appointment of another member-1 in the commission were pending since long, so the Chief Minister had asked the state government to restart the process of inviting fresh applications for this post.
