E.T.T. TEACHERS ABSORBED IN EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Chandigarh,  The E.T.T. teachers, numbering 11811, who were serving in 5752 schools under Zila Parishads previously under Rural Development and Panchayat Department, have been absorbed in the education department and they will be joining their duties on 7th October, 2014.

Disclosing this, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab, said that these E.T.T. teachers working under Zila Parishads have been absorbed in the education department as per the decision taken by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. A notification in this regard had already been issued.

The Minister also said that those 5752 schools that were previously under zila parishad, would now be functioning under education department and the 11811 teachers will also be a part of the Education Department. The Minister welcomed the teachers on their induction and hoped they will do their duty with utmost sincerity and become part of reform process that government has initiated to take education departments to newer heights.

He further informed that directions have been issued to divisional and district education offices to ensure that no teacher faced any difficulty in joining in his post
