Why is AAP scared of Capt Amarinder?

CHANDIGARH, February 5: Punjab Congress today asked the Aam Aadmi Party as why it was so much obsessively scared of the PCC president Capt Amarinder Singh that their day begins and ends with only trying to find faults in what he (Capt Amarinder) does or does not do, instead of minding their own business and setting their own house in order.

“The way AAP leaders are obsessively trying to malign Capt Amarinder, they seem to be suffering from a congenital fear and phobia of him which they are finding very difficult to come out of”, the party leaders said here today.

In a joint statement, senior Congress legislators Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Rana Gurjeet Singh and Sukh Sarkaria wondered as why were all the AAP leaders right from those still in their “neo-natal stages” like Durgesh Pathak and the “political deadwood” like Sukhpal Khaira and Sucha Singh Chhotepur only talking about Capt Amarinder and nothing else.

The party leaders said, the AAP did not have a single achievement to its credit. “The mess which they have created by literally turning the whole of Delhi into filth and garbage is reflective of their inefficiency”, they said, adding, “in order to cover up their failures there, they are now trying to malign a popular and charismatic leader like Capt Amarinder who, they know, they can never compete with when it comes to integrity, credibility, governance and decision making”.

The party leaders advised people like Pathak to have patience as it will take him a long time to learn about the ethos and culture of Punjab before starting to pronounce judgments. “You and your party are still struggling with neo-natal complications and it will be better for you to first secure your own survival before pronouncing judgements on someone like Capt Amarinder who has a proven record of integrity, administrative ability and decision making capability”, they told Pathak.

The Congress legislators maintained that the AAP was surviving on fake publicity. “While the garbage dumps kept on piling up in Delhi, the AAP government has been busy to buy publicity for itself at a whopping expenditure of Rs 520 crores”, they said, adding, if the AAP leaders think that they can befool the Punjabis by maligning their popular leader Capt Amarinder Singh, they are badly mistaken. “They will soon be dumped like the garbage their government has contributed to pile up in Delhi and that is where they will eventually deserve to be”, the leaders added.
