Fatehgarh Sahib, December 27: Aam Aadmi Party today blamed the Parkash Singh Badal government for increase in the incidence of farmers’ suicides in Punjab.
Addressing his party’s political conference, AAP MP from Sangrur Bhagwant Mann said while the graph of prosperity of the ruling party leaders has been on the rise, the people at large have been facing pauperization in the inverse proportion. People have been becoming poorer in the reverse proportion as compared to the growing riches of the rulers.
Mann lashed out at Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal for misusing police and warned that cases would be registered against the guilty of indulging in excesses against the common power after coming into power in February 2017 Assembly election.
Party incharge Sanjay Singh claimed AAP would repeat Delhi in Punjab and it would be clean sweep as both the Akali Dal-BJP combine as well as the Congress were responsible for all that was wrong in the state. he said going by the very fact that they referred to AAP in every speech of theirs, both Badal and state Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh were apprehensive of the threat posed by the party.
He alleged that like Badals, Capt Amarinder Singh too was part of the liquor trade.
He claimed the state would be entering a new political path after Maghi conference of the party that would be addressed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
State party convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur attacked Badal for exploiting farmers to get votes. Sukhpal Singh Khaira, who joined AAP recently, blamed Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia for increasing drug menace in the state. He termed Badal and Capt marinder Singh as two sides of the same coin.
