Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, December 24- Charanjit Singh Channi, Congress legislature party leader and MLA Chamkaur Sahib today greeted the people of Punjab and especially the Christian community on eve of Christmas Day.
Mr. Channi said that the birth of Lord Jesus was celebrated all over the world with great enthusiasm and gaiety. He said that Christian community in Punjab had large presence and the festival has special significance for the people of Punjab. He said that Christianity was a religion which spread the message of peace and communal harmony. He said that he was highly impressed by service of society and mankind done by the Christian brothern.
Mr. Channi appealed to people from all walks of life to join in celebrations on December 25 and cherish the occasion with all festivities. He paid rich tributes to Lord Jesus and said he would be celebrating the Christmas with his family and party workers.
