Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee commemorated the 145th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi -The Father of the Nation & 110th Birth Anniversary of former Prime Minister Sh. Lal Bahadur Sashtri today at Punjab Congress Bhavan, Sector-15, Chandigarh.
Floral tributes to the Father of the Nation were offered by the S. Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa General Secretary PPCC, S. Kanwarjit Singh Lalli Ex-MLA, S. Paramjit Singh Randhawa Secretary PPCC, S. Gurpartap Singh Mann Secretary PPCC, Sh. Lakharam Davesar Chairman Bazigar Cell PPCC, Sh. Surinder Gupta Former President DCC Faridkot, S. Jang Bahadur General Secretary SC Department and Congress workers & Seva Dal volunteers was also present on the occasion. Religious hymns from all religions were chanted and the most famous prayer of Mahatma Gandhi “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” was also sung by the participants. A large number of persons from adjoining Mohali, Banur and Kharar attended the function and pledged to follow the teachings of the Mahatma in their lives.
