Bathinda, December,9 Gearing up for the Bathinda rally, the Punjab Congress today termed the Sadbhavna rallies of Shiromani Akali Dal as diversion tactics from rising anger of Public against the government.
Addressing a series of rallies in different villages of Bathinda and Mansa, Congress leaders Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, SS Sukhsarkaria and others taken several pot-shots on the Badal family. Reminding the Badal about 2014 Lok Sabha poll promises, Sukhjinder Randhawa said that instead of holding Sadbhavna Rallies in Punjab, CM PS Badal should explain his ‘Sadbhavna’ (Goodwill) with the Modi Government. He said that PM Narendra Modi is openly and knowingly ignoring the Punjab by not giving any special grant, which he had promised during elections.
Reminding Badal that he had promised that once NDA government formed Punjab will get truckload of currency notes for development, Randhawa asked Badal must explain why he failed to get a Package for Punjab. He said that the BAdal government has strained ties with the Modi, and thus PM is not giving any grant to Punjab, while he has announced package for J&K, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and other eastern states.
He said that the defeat of Arun Jaitley from Amritsar has stained the relationship of SAD and Senior BJP leadership, thus the NDA government is ignoring the Badal. He said that Badal himself has admitted to his close coterie that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was best for Punjab, and Now Badal should admit this fact in Public that “Manmohan Singh was better than Modi”.
The Congress leaders asks the workers to gear up to throw the corrupt SAD-BJP government out of power in coming election and asks them to participate in large number in Bathinda Rally.
The other members of Committee formed for organizing Bathinda rally including Tripat Rajinder Bajwa, Hardial Kamboj, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Kikki Dhillon and other were also present and addressed several village level rallies forDecember 15 rally.
