CSIS, RCMP brief Trudeau on Paris attacks

ANTALYA, Turkey — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has arrived at the G20 summit in Turkey where Friday’s attacks in Paris were set to dominate the discussions.
Trudeau’s arrival in Turkey’s coastal resort of Antalya marks his international debut on the world stage.
Friday’s co-ordinated strikes in the French capital was set to overshadow the G20’s agenda on fostering economic growth.

Trudeau was given briefings by the RCMP and Canada’s spy agency, CSIS, on Friday night’s terror attacks in Paris that killed at least 127 people.
A spokesman told journalists travelling with the prime minister that he had received the briefing on the Paris attacks.
Trudeau’s first bilateral meeting in Turkey was scheduled for Sunday with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.
He also has meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and German Chancellor Angela Merkel scheduled for Monday.
Just before boarding his plane Friday, Trudeau offered “all of Canada’s support” to France, adding “Our hearts and thoughts and prayers go out to our French cousins in this dark and terrible time.”
He also said he was taking steps to ensure the security of Canadians was safeguarded.
