Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, November 10: Punjab Congress President S Partap Singh Bajwa blamed the Badal family for the deteriorating state of affairs in the Sikh community. He added that the Sikh community must tread cautiously lest further harm is caused to the sanctity of the Sikh institutions. He blamed S Parkash Singh Badal for interfering with the functioning of the Sikh institutions that has resulted in the erosion of its credibility.
On the resolutions passed by the Sarbat Khalsa, Mr Bajwa stated that this will further damage the institution and impair peace and tranquility in the State. He added that the Badal’s for their personal greed have destroyed the independence of the SGPC which has undermined its autonomy. He said that the SGPC was created after immense struggle and sacrifices however the Badal’s have ruined it’s functioning for their political benefit. He further stated that he shares the sentiment of crores of Sikhs today but they must exercise restraint and ensure an independent and non partisan SGPC that functions according to the Sikh maryada and restores it’s credibility.
