CHANDIGARH: A son of senior advocate of Punjab and Haryana high court and former president of Punjab and Haryana high court bar association reportedly committed suicide on Monday. His body was found hanging himself at the house in Sector 16.
According to police, the victim was identified as Raunak Khosla, son of senior advocate Rupinder Khosla, who was former acting advocate general of Punjab and former acting assistant solicitor general of india. Sources said that the victim’s father found him hanging from the ceiling fan in his room.
Cops were informed and the victim was rushed to Government Multi-speciality Hospital (GMH), Sector 16, were the doctors declared him brought dead. Sources said that the victim was reportedly under depression and had been getting treatment. He had returned to india a few months ago after completing his studies from US.
Victim’s mother Mohanmeet Khosla is an associate professor at School of Communication Studies, Panjab University. Inspector Uday Pal, SHO of Sector 17 police station said that no suicide note was recovered. “We are still to find out why he was under depression, postmortem will be done on Tuesday,” he added. Inquest proceed
