Chandigarh, October 17: The Punjab Congress President Mr Partap Singh Bajwa today gave a call to the Punjabis for political and social boycott of the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal and the Shiromani Akali Dal for pushing the state towards chaos and ruination.

Reacting to the deteriorating situation in the state resulting from utter misrule and mismanagement by the Badal government, Mr Bajwa said the Chief Minister had lost not only the grip over the administration but also moral authority to rule as it were the policies followed by him and his party leaders that were responsible for the present turbulence.

He blamed Mr Badal for exploiting the Sikh institutions for his personal and political motives and asserted what was now happening in the state was the culmination of his nefarious designs which were aimed at provoking the situation and then cashing upon it as he had been doing during his entire career.

He disclosed that he along with the AICC general secretary Mr Shakeel Ahmad would lead a high level delegation to the President Mr Pranab Mukherjee to demand imposition of President’s rule in the state as continuation of the Badal government was not in the national interest.

He said chaos and corruption had become synonymous with Mr Badal which charaterised every term of his. What was shocking that he had refused to mend himself even during his fifth term as the chief minister with his family treating the state as their fiefdom.

He said the state was brimming with anger which does not portend well as the state has earlier passed through more than a decade of turbulence during which thousands innocent people were killed and that situation too had at its root Mr Badal’s political and and other vested interests.
