The floating solar-powered home made of recycled materials!

Rome: At a time when the world is struggling to tackle issues related to climate change as a result of rising temperatures, an Italian architect has come up with an adorable floating eco-friendly solar powered home made of recycled and sustainable materials.

Called ‘Water Nest 100’, the 1000-square-foot floating pod-shaped home is designed by architect Giancarlo Zema and developed by EcoFloLife after years of research. It measures 12 meters in diameter and 4 meters tall and offers an attractive and low-impact way to live in harmony with nature.

Interestingly, the Water Nest is constructed of 98% recyclable materials and can be positioned in any large and calm body of water.

The top of the floating home is covered with amorphous solar panels that generate 4kWp – enough to satisfy our power-hungry lifestyles. It also includes skylights, balconies, and a roomy 100-square-meter living area.
