Chandigarh, Sept 29, 2015: BJP national Secretary and Delhi co-Incharge Tarun Chugh Tuesday dared AAP convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to throw at least three tainted party MLAs out of his party and convene a special session of Delhi Vidhan Sabha to disqualify and divest them of their posts as MLAs.
Stating that three AAP MLAs – Somnath Bharti, Jatendra Tomar and Manoj Kumar – have committed grave offences and were not fit to continue as members of the august house, Chugh said that while whole of the Delhi was talking about the wrongdoings of these three AAP representatives, Kejriwal was shamelessly clinging on to these leaders even as he has sufficient number of MLAs to run his government.
“Even if he dares to throw these three out, his government won’t fall, but Delhi needs to know what holds Kejriwal from acting against these three?,” he asked.
Chugh alleged that Kejriwal, Somnath Bharti and other leaders of AAP have no respect for women and Kejriwal’s tweet asking Bharti to surrender was nothing more than a ploy to please women in and outside party who have been critical of party’s approach towards Somnath Bharti’s wife Lipika.
Reminding Kejriwal of Somnath Bharti’s Khirki Extension case, the BJP leader said that the AAP leader was even then accused of misbehaving with and assaulting South African women but even then Kejriwal backed Bharti due to the reasons best known to him.
Chugh said that while Somnath Bharti refused to surrender even on Kejriwal’s direction, the Delhi CM had around a week ago tweeted and said that he was proud of Bharti.
He said that it was disgusting to note that Lipika requested all the major leaders of AAP including Kejriwal to intermediate between her and Bharti and help her in getting justice, but nobody paid any heed to her requests and in fact sided with and backed Bharti.
The BJP leader said that Kejriwal opened his mouth only after high court gave its observations regarding Bharti terming him ‘violent’ and that too to save his image among the women folk.
Chugh said it was high time that Kejriwal proves his credentials and acts against the MLAs who have not only behaved immorally and unethically but also violated the law.
Terming Kejriwal as U-turn specialist, the BJP leader said that people of the country have seen through Kejriwal’s double standards and nobody could be be-fooled by his antics anymore.
