Shiromani Akali Dal names candidates for Haryana polls

Chandigarh,  The Shiromani Akali Dal today declared the names of its candidates for two seats in the ensuing elections to the Legislative Assembly of Haryana in which the party is contesting in alliance with Indian National Lok Dal.

Among the names of candidates announced by Shiromani Akali Dal are Balwinder Singh Punia from Ambala city and former SGPC member Balkaur Singh Kalanwali from Kalanwali Assembly seat.

Announcing the names of candidates here in a party meeting at party head office, Shiromani Akali Dal President and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal described INLD-SAD alliance as alliance between the people of Punjab and Haryana.

He said that people of Haryana were all set to vote for INLD-SAD alliance to begin a new era of prosperity, development and brotherhood in this region of the country. He said that this alliance would also root out congress grass from Haryana.

Assigning campaign duties to party leaders and workers for Haryana polls, Mr. Badal expressed confidence that party cadre would put its entire energy to win the two seats with maximum margin. “I am confident that party leadership and workers would repeat their performance to ensure party victory as they did in Delhi polls”, he added.

Announcing the future plans of expending the party reach in other states, Mr. Badal said that party has chalked out plan to contest at 25 seats in Utaar Pradesh polls too. He said that party would create its presence in all the states having Punjabi population.

Prominent amongst others, Bibi Jagir Kaur, President Istri Akali Dal, Mr. Balwinder Singh Bhunder, Senior Vice President, Mr. Surjit Singh Rakhra, General Secretary, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Secretary and Spokesman, Mr. Sharanjit Singh Sotha, President SAD Haryana, Mr. Sukhdev Singh Gobindgarh, former president SAD Haryana and Mr. N. K. Sharma, party Treasurer were also present on the occasion.
