13 OFFICERS NABBED RED HANDED IN GRAFT CASES DURING JULY

* VIGILANCEINITIATES 13 FRESH INQUIRIES DURING JULY

* 7 CRIMINAL CASES WERE REGISTERED AGAINST CORRUPT EMPLOYEES

* 15 CHALLANS WERE FILED

CHANDIGARH, AUGUST 6: Tightening the noose around the corrupt employees, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau in the month of July 2015 has been successful in nabbing 13 officers red handed while accepting bribe.

VB has also initiated fresh vigilance inquiries in 13 other cases. Similarly VB completed the probe andinvestigation in 15 bribery cases subsequently challans were filed in the courts.

Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that during the month of July, 2015 the Vigilance Bureau besides apprehending 13 corrupt officers also registered 7 criminal cases in the month.

He said that all these officers were booked under Prevention of Corruption Act-1988.
