Campaigns for the President post for Punjab Youth Congress
Chandigarh: 05-08-15: The people of Punjab are fed up from the SAD BJP combine rule in Punjab for the last eight years. Attacking the ruling government for anti people policies, S Deepinder Singh Randhawa Candidate for President Punjab youth congress, said that every section of society either be farmer, student, youth, businessman, trader or government employees, is badly against the ruling government because they even did not fulfill their promises which were made to the these people before the elections in 2007 and then in 2012. This government just makes a white lie by stating unrealistic figures in the media. The people of Punjab especially the youth will give them befitting reply in the coming Vidhansabha elections by throwing them out of power.
Criticizing the ruling government for ignoring the interests of youth of Punjab, Deepinder said that the unemployment allowance of Rs 1000 per month was announced in their manifesto but this remained a dream for youth. Similarly the students were to be given laptops and tablets but this also proved a lollipop for the students. Just few girls students have been given the bicycles under the Mai Bhago scheme that too in Mukatsar Sahib district only, is the governments development agenda restricted to Mukatsar Sahib and Bhatinda only?. No scholarship has been given to any student belonging to the poor strata of the society as promised in the manifesto. Even the free education scenario in Punjab is pathetic, because the government schools don’t have the qualified teachers. The worse is with the sports man who were promised Rs 10000/- scholarship annually from the government but nothing has been done for them too. Every village was supposed to be having a sports stadium, where is that seen nobody knows. Jalandhar was to be made sports capital again remains a dream.
Promising 10 lac new jobs for the youth of Punjab were the main agenda of the ruling Shiromaniakali Dal Badal but they failed miserably to even get one youth a new job. Already the government treasury is not able to give the existing government employees their salary on time what to talk about new recruitments. Even the cities like Mohali and Amritsar were planned to be the IT cities but multi national companies like Dell and Quark are already closed their operations making more than 5000 youth unemployed due to poor vision and policies of the Punjab government.
Commenting on the promise to Make Punjab fully Wi Fi, Deepinder said that what this government has done is making the Punjab full of Criminal elements. Alongwith the youth every other category of people are also unhappy with the policies of this government. Deepinder asked the Chief minister of Punjab S Parkash Singh Badal to immediately look into the book of false promises called the manifesto of SAD, and fulfill the commitments made to every category specially the youth of Punjab.
DeepinderRandhawa is on tour of Punjab as he is fighting the Punjab youth congress elections for which the polling is on the 8thand 9th of August 2015. He visited Faridkot, Ferozpur, Bhatinda, Sangrur, Ludhiana, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib and met the newly elected delegates personally, listened to them patiently and gave them hearing. He appealed to the youth of Punjab and the elected delegates to strengthen him so that he is able to carry a crusade against the Akali Dal and the BJP in Punjab and take the vision of Sh Rahul Gandhi Vice President of INC among the masses and youth of Punjab more aggressively.
