Toronto: One man was pronounced dead and another is charged with second degree murder after stabbing in Toronto’s St. James Town in the early hours of the morning Monday.
Toronto police Det. Sgt. Steve Ryan said police were called to the area and discovered the lifeless body of a man in his mid-20s who had sustained trauma to his body.
Ryan said someone in the building discovered the body in a pool of blood on the second floor of an apartment building at 135 Rose Avenue. The body was found inside an apartment unit near the elevator.

Toronto paramedics said an adult male was pronounced dead at the scene, while another person was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The man in hospital has been charged with second degree murder, Ryan said.
The suspect and victim knew each other as “acquaintances,” Ryan said, but the confrontation was an isolated incident.
Ryan said police are not searching for other suspects. He said they hope to release an image of the victim, in order to piece together his whereabouts over the last few days.
