CHANDIGARH, JULY 30:The Punjab Government today announced a big relief to residents of cities by giving them an opportunity to deposit arrears of house tax due upto 31st March 2013 without interest and penalty latest by 17 August 2015. They have been given an option to deposit one time amount and enjoy this relaxation.
Disclosing this here today, Mr. Anil Joshi, Local Government Minister said that all residents, who have to pay arrears of house tax due to 31st March 2013, can deposit the House Tax without penalty and interests to their respective Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayats latest by August 17, 2015. He clarified that August 17, 2015 punitive action would be initiated against defaulters.
