Deepinder files nominations for the state president Punjab youth congress

Gurdaspur: 29-07-15: The Congress Vice President Sh Rahul Gandhi should now lead the nation as he is the one who has the vision and capabilities to take along the sentiments of the people of india specially the youth of india. Filing his nominations for the state president Punjab youth congress at Gurdaspur today, S Deepinder Singh Randhawa said that eventually Sh Rahul Gandhi is the iconic youth leader in India, he is the one who gave opportunity to the new young faces in the political system and gave them adequate space to perform also. Appreciating the electoral process in the youth Congress which was initiated by Sh Rahul Gandhi, Randhawa said that the Indian National Congress is the only party which conducts fair polls with democratic setup, giving everybody a chance to participate and perform.

Pitching for DRUG FREE PUNJAB “ NASHA BHAJAO, PUNJAB BACHAO” DeepinderRandhawa said that I am very serious for this cause. It was the congress vice president Sh Rahul Gandhi who first stated these facts before the public that 70% of the youth of Punjab are drug addicts. His thoughts were seconded by many political parties o different platforms, some criticized also but today the state is in bad shape if we see the actual drug menace in Punjab. Drugs are freely flowing and very easily available to the youth. There is big nexus between the polticians and police for this drug trade. He also lambasted on the ShiromaniAkali Dal and BJP government in Punjab for neglecting this issue completely. We have been organizing the awareness camps at different times in the youth congress level but that is not sufficient till the time stringent laws are made to counter this menace.

Randhawa further said that he belongs to family of Congress men who have served the party for so long in different capacities. I am the fourth generation of committed congressmen. I have been into student politics and now in the youth congress for so long on different positions.
