Badal biased against Majha region: Bajwa

Amritsar, Partap Singh Bajwa, PPCC president, today accused Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal of being biased against the Majha region and shifting major projects from here to Bathinda. On BJP MLA and CPS Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s complaints, Bajwa said, “It is not just about her constituency, the CM is biased against the entire Majha region.” He alleged the state government was reluctant to set up the IIM in Amritsar and wanted to shift it to Bathinda. He alleged people had wished that AIIMS could be set up in Jalandhar as it was a central place, but Badal took it to Bathinda. Bajwa further alleged even the IIT that had been set up in Ropar was to be established near Dhillwan. Bajwa accused the leaders of SAD and BJP from Majha of lacking spine to stand up to the Badals. “The CM won’t clear any of Dr Sidhu’s projects. She should quit and expose the government,” he said. On the infighting in the Congress state unit, he said the situation had been better in the past one-and-a-half months. “The Congress is united to take on the SAD-BJP,” he added.
