Festivals, Pan Am Games races to close roads this weekend

Festivals and road races for the final two days of the Pan Am Games will see select roads closed in downtown and Scarborough through the weekend.
The Beaches Jazz Festival will see Queen Street East closed between Woodbine and Beech avenues until midnight on Saturday.
Near downtown, PrideHouse TO Celebrates Street Festival will involve the closure of Church Street between Alexander and Dundonald streets until Monday morning at 2 a.m. Traffic will be able to cross Wellesley and Church streets throughout that period.
Marathon runners and cyclists will be training on Colborne Lodge Drive, between the Queensway and Bloor Street West, until 6 a.m. on Sunday.
To facilitate marathon and road cycling races on Saturday, roads in the area will be closed:
– Lake Shore Boulevard in both directions from Colborne Lodge Drive to Strachan Avenue will be closed.
– The Queensway from Claude Avenue to Ellis Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
– Bloor Street from Harcroft Road to Parkside Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
– Parkside Drive from Lake Shore Boulevard to Bloor Street will be closed.
– Ellis Avenue, Ellis Park Road, Olympus Avenue and Harcroft Road will also be closed.
All closures will be in effect until 10 p.m. on Saturday.
A section of the Martin Goodman Trail will be closed to bike traffic until Sunday at 2 p.m., between British Columbia Road/Lakeshore Boulevard and Remembrance Drive near New Brunswick Way.
The men’s 50 kilometre race walk will see Lakeshore Boulevard shut between British Columbia Road and Strachan Avenue until Sunday at 2 p.m.
