Shanta didn’t bungle funds: State BJP chief

Jalandhar, July 25
State BJP president Kamal Sharma today came out in support of party veteran Shanta Kumar, rubbishing allegations that he misappropriated party funds during last year’s Lok Sabha polls. Yesterday, former BJP minister Manoranjan Kalia levelled these allegations in an open letter to Shanta Kumar.
Sharma said he could not make out what Kalia had said. “It is the state president who collects funds and not the in charge. Shanta Kumar did not collect any funds. There has been complete transparency in the collection of poll funds,” he said.
