Chandigarh, National vice-president of the BJP and MP Avinash Rai Khanna, Union Minister of State Vijay Sampla and Assistant Media Adviser, Punjab, Vineet Joshi today said the BJP was not playing politics on drugs.
Addressing mediapersons at the BJP headquarters, they said the party was campaigning against drugs as a social movement only. Though Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had said the talk on drugs was maligning the image of the state youth, the BJP leaders insisted they were just educating the masses.
“We are against drug addiction and liquor consumption in principle and advocate awareness as the main method of weaning away addicts from it,” Khanna said.
