Homicide detectives investigating after man, 70, found dead in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. — Police are appealing to the public for information about the death of a 70-year-old man in Niagara Falls, Ont.
Niagara Regional Police and paramedics responded to a problem on Friday morning at 5130 Portage Road.
They found an elderly man dead in an apartment.
Police say the incident is being considered a homicide.
The man has been identified as Giuseppe “Joe” Caputo, who police say was the resident of the apartment.
An autopsy is being done this weekend.
