Chandigarh: May 27 : The Narendra Modi government has utterly failed to deliver the promises which they made to the people of India. Attacking sharply on the non performance of Modi government after completion of one year term in office S Inderjit Singh Zira, Chairman, Kisan Khet Majdoor Cell PPCC said that the Anti farmer policies of Modi government has hit the farmer of Indian very badly. Modi government has failed to control the fuel prices inspite of the cheap barrel prices in the world market. The barrel price of Petrol is 130 Dollar and that of Diesel is 63 Dollar, according to which the rate of petrol in Indian currency should be Rs 35 per litre and Diesel should be Rs 30 Per litre but the people of India has to shell out much more from their pockets. This has led to price rise of daily commodities which directly affects every common man and specially Farmer community. Modi has failed to bring the black money back from Swiss banks as per their election promise and also they failed on the subsidy to be given on LPG users.
Zira while congratulating Modi for starting Kisan Channel said that this should not become handpiece of the government but should actually portray the real picture of the farmer in the country. Channel should become autonomous body and the number of suicides of farmers should be brought out in the public. The problems faced by the farmers should be actually projected and the failures of the government to address these should be telecasted.
Zira said that on this Sunday 31-05-15 the kisan majdoor cell under his leadership will meet the families of farmers in Mansa district where he will personally listen to the problems of the farmers and aware them about the facts of the work done by the UPA 1 & UPA 2. He also appealed to the farmers that instead of committing suicides farmer should struggle for their rights.
