Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh May 27: On the invitation of the Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, philanthropic former Mayor of Gravesham, UK Mr. Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi for the first time today visited Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
During the visit Mr. Dhesi informed the Speaker that Gravesham Council was keen to promote business, cultural, sports and other activities between these cities by establishing a centre at Jalandhar which would further help in promoting healthy bilateral and cultural ties between UK and Punjab.
In recognition to his selfless contribution and helping the Indian in UK, Mr. Atwal appreciated his gesture. On this occasion Speaker Dr Atwal honoured Mr. Dhesi for visiting Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Among others present on the occasion included member SGPC Parmjit Singh Raipur, SAD leaders Jaswant Singh Bhullar and Jaswant Singh Chhapa, Baljit Singh Saini and Avtar Singh Skrodi.
