Rob Ford released from hospital, shows up at city hall

image (1)Toronto, Rob Ford has been released from hospital and has arrived at city hall.
Ford underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumour in his abdomen on May 11 at Mount Sinai Hospital and had been expected to remain in hospital for several weeks.
According to Doug Ford, the Ward 2 councillor and former mayor was released right on schedule and is doing “really well” as he continues to recover from the operation.
Ford’s surgery, which took place over 10 hours, followed several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation.
Ford has previously said that doctors have informed him that he will need three months to fully recover. He said he plans to return back to work on council in September.
“I am delighted that he is well enough to be released from hospital and I am hopeful that he will be able to get home and have the sort of peace there that you need to recover from major surgery,” Mayor John Tory told reporters at city hall on Tuesday afternoon. “I hope that he will be back on the job as soon as possible.”
