Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, May 26: Punjab Revenue Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia today directed all the Deputy Commissioners to upload detailed collector rates regarding registration of land on official websites of Revenue department (www.punjabrevenue.nic.in) and Punjab Land Records Society (www.plrs.org.in) to facilitate the general public. He said that to ensure full transparency and equip buyers about the exact registration rates, it has been made mandatory to put this vital information along with map of each tehsil on these websites.
Mr. Majithia categorically said that this information should be uploaded by June 30, 2015 positively. He said that it has come to his notice that due to online non availability of collector rates, the people were often not clear about these rates and it results in inconvenience to them. He expressed confidence that with online availability of collector rates, the prospective buyers will be feeling more comfortable for their registration.
