PUNJAB TO DEVELOP SPORTS CULTURE IN COLLABORATION WITH AUSTRALIAN TRADE COMMISSION

Pb-Sports-Dptt-logo* Renowned sports personalities to interact during seminar at Fatehgarh Sahib tomorrow

Chandigarh May 14 : Punjab sports department in collaboration with Australian Trade Commission would launch state wide sports awareness campaign to aware the general public to involve in sports activities. To begin with, a seminar will be held on May 15 at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College Sri Fatehgarh Sahib.

Stating this here today a spokesperson of the department said state wide joint campaign to promote sports culture would witness interactive session in the presence of renowned international sportspersons with budding players motivating them to participate in international level tournaments.

During the discussions known Australian players would also impart technical sports training to the players. Ms. Mailini Jones former Australian Cricket player would also grace the occasion.

As many as 700 sportspersons, coaches, members of Australian Trade Commission, renowned sports personalities like Padam Shri Balvir Singh (Sr), Padam Shri Pargat Singh, eminent Hockey player and MLA, Sukhvir Singh Grewal Director Training Punjab State Institute of Sports and Rajanbir Kaur Ajnala would interact with potential sportspersons.

Besides others Secretary Sports and Youth Services Ashok Gupta, Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha, Director Food & Supplies Shivdular Singh Dhillon, Director Sports Tejinder Singh Dhaliwal, Stanzan Dava regional head Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development Chandigarh, Kanwaljit Singh, Director Sports Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Dr. Gurcharan Singh Lamba Principal Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College would also attend the seminar.
