Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, May 12- The Punjab and Haryana High Court today set aside the appointment of 54 secretaries of the market committees in Punjab and directed the state government to prepare fresh merit list by excluding additional five marks given to the students having studied in rural area schools.
A number of petitions had been filed to challenge these selections by the Punjab Mandi Board in 2011.
It is award of these five marks that had been challenged. The high court questioned the decision to give these additional marks.
