Chandigarh, Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema today felicitated 15 teachers of the state, who have been selected for the coveted ‘Malti Thapar Gyan Peeth Purskar’.
In a statement issued here today, Dr. Cheema said that the award bestowed upon these teachers was recognition to the marvelous services rendered by them in the field of education. He said that these teachers really deserve a pat for this rare achievement. “I hope that this award will inspire more teachers to impart the services in more dedicated manner”.
Pertinently this award is given every year by a NGO ‘M S Single Education and Research Society’ to the teachers of the government school. This year 78government teachers were shortlisted for the award out of which 15 would be given this award. These teachers would be honored with a cash award of Rs one lakh in a function schedule to be held in New Delhi on May 29.
The teachers selected for award are Harinder Kaur, Kuldeep Singh, Dr Ravinder Singh, Ravjit Kaur, Arvind Kumar Sharma, Charan Singh, Sushma Rani, Amrit Pal Singh, Jagjit Singh, Rama Khanna, Ms Pushpinder, Kamlesh Kumari, Manjit Kaur, Harminder Kaur and Ms Harpreet.
