Capt Amarinder asks Bajwa to mind his own business

amrinder-bajwa-5382bb44c77ee_exlstChandigarh, Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh today asked Partap Singh Bajwa to mind his own business and not to distort his stand on leadership issue in the party by spreading rumours and disinformation. “Bajwa is trying to be more loyal than the king without actually understanding the ground situation”, he remarked while reacting to Bajwa’s statement on the issue.

Capt Amarinder reiterated that he was never against Rahul Gandhi taking over the reins of the party and he will never be. “But this is not the right time for Rahul to take over the reins as the situation and circumstances demand that Ms Gandhi should continue”, he observed, while adding, “as a Congressman and a well wisher of Rahul I have no hesitation in voicing my opinion that is in the interest of the party”.

The former Chief Minister reiterated that the party needed Ms Sonia Gandhi to provide the leadership more than ever. He pointed out, party had faced the worst ever debacle and it will require someone more seasoned and more experienced to steer it back to its revival and glory.

“Moreover, of late Indian politics has got too much personality oriented like in the case of Mr Modi and Mr Kejriwal and under these circumstances Congress cannot afford anyone else than Ms Gandhi at the helm”, he observed.

“I know Rahul since his childhood and I have all the affection for him like my son and that is why I am being honest and forthright in my opinion to say what shall suit him and the party the best”, he said, adding, there was no need for any haste or hurry.

“Fools rush in where angels fear to tread and that is precisely what Mr Bajwa is fond of doing and he is trying to do it again”, he remarked, while adding, “If someone like Bajwa thinks that I am trying to scuttle his elevation, he is viciously and wishfully mistaken and he (Bajwa) surely is not going to gain anything out of it”.
