Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Bathinda, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur today said not only Congress leader Sukhpal Khaira but numerous other Congress leaders too were in touch with him in a bid to join the party.
“He (Khaira) along with other leaders may be brought into our party fold in the coming days,” he said, adding that a clean image, stature and qualification would be taken into consideration before bringing such people into AAP. Here to attend a wedding, the state convener also declared the possibility of alliance with political parties other than SAD, BJP and Congress during the coming Assembly elections. Speaking about infighting in the party at Delhi, he said it would have no effect in Punjab. He claimed NRIs across the globe had extended all possible help in the coming elections, which would “change the entire political scenario” in Punjab.
Chhotepur also criticised the role of SAD in extending support to the BJP in passing the land acquisition Bill and termed it as the one of the worst decisions against the farmers.
