Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was more of a Farhan Akhtar film than it ever was a Sonam Kapoor film. She was there for mere 11 minutes but unfortunately left no impact on anyone.
We would chose to believe it is the meager screen time that didn’t let people appreciate her ‘talent’. But now all her woes and rants can rest now as the lady might soon be seen playing Amrita Sher-Gil.
Those who aren’t familiar with this name, let us tell you that she was one of the prominent painters of pre-independent India. She was born to a Punjabi father and Jewish mother in Budapest and stayed mostly in India and France.
She died at the age of 29 and given the young age, Sonam must have been selected for the role.
Apparently, the film will see highlight a lot about Amrita’s paintings, her family and love life. Sonam will have to get the nuances right of her personality as it is a character based in pre-independent era. We hope she nails it this time!
