Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Alia Bhatt, undoubtedly, is the new star on the block. After winning praises for the kind of roles she has portrayed till now and the choices she has made, the pretty and talented actress is all set to don yet another avatar for her next venture.
Rumour has it that Alia is slated to play a hockey player in Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’ and to be true to her character, she has been training in the sport every morning from 7 am to 9 am.
Alia even took to Instagram to post a picture of her “new friend” – The Hockey stick.’
According to a report published in Hindustan Times, since ‘Udta Punjab’ is set in the state of Punjab, a state that is famous for its Hockey players, “Alia isn’t leaving anything to chance as she plays a professional hockey player in the movie.”
‘Udta Punjab’ features Shahid Kapoor opposite Alia, who she has also worked with in Vikas Bahl’s yet-to-release ‘Shaandaar’. The movie also stars Kareena Kapoor and Punjabi superstar Daljeet Dosanjh.
