Chandigarh, The Union government has invited nominations from Punjab government for Kabir Puraskar 2015 for those personalities, who worked for promotion of communal harmony and national integration.
In a communiqué to Punjab, it has been stated that the Center had instituted a nationalaward designated as ‘Kabir Puraskar’ in three grades.
Disclosing this, a spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that this award is given in 3 grades. Grade-1, Grade-2 and Grade-3. It carries a cash prize of Rs. 2,00,000, Rs. 1,00,000 and Rs. 50,000. The spokesperson further elaborated that as per the communication, the recommendation should be accompanied by a brief description of specific acts of physical/moral courage displayed by the nominee. It was also stated that the nominations should be sent by May 15, 2015 of only such personalities, who fulfill the criteria laid down for the award.
