Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, The Punjab Government has effected complete ban on the transfers of the officers/employees in view of the General Election of 8 Municipal Corporations and 123 MunicipalCouncils/Nagar Panchayats.
Disclosing this an official spokesman said that the Municipal Corporations election of Phagwara, Pathankot, SAS Nagar, Hoshiarpur,Moga& Bathinda and bye-election of ward No.49(General) of Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, ward No.08(BC) & 46 (General) of Municipal Corporation, Patiala are scheduled for February 22 . Similarly General Elections to elect members to 123 MunicipalCouncils/Nagar Panchayats and bye-elections to ward No.02 (General) of Nagar Panchayat, Bariwala, District Sri Muktsar Sahib are scheduled for February 25.
He said that in light the imposition of model of conduct the Punjab Government has banned the transfers/postings of the official/officials in the State.
