What are the Differences in the three Redmi Note 13 Smartphones?

Design & Build

First off, let’s start with the design! While the Redmi Note 13 Pro models feature a more elegant yet minimalist design, the vanilla Note 13 5G opts for a flashier design. In terms of build quality, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro Plus feature Gorilla Glass Victus screen protection, while the vanilla Note 13 5G uses Gorilla Glass 5.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro models feature a glass back, although the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus features a vegan leather back panel option. The Redmi Note 13 5G, on the other hand, opts for a plastic back. The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus also boasts a metal frame and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. While the Note 13 5G and Note 13 Pro 5G get plastic frames and a downgraded IP54 rating.

Display

All three smartphones feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, although the Redmi Note 13 Pro models feature a higher peak brightness. Moreover, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro Plus feature Dolby Vision support. Lastly, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ boasts a curved display as well as HDR10+ support.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 13 5G’s MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC is the weakest of the three. Moreover, it is comparatively less powerful than several other handsets in the sub-20K space. Both MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipsets deliver solid performance, in-line with their pricing.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ also features LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage to up its performance game. The Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro Plus aren’t performance-oriented smartphones, but the chips powering the phones should enable smooth multitasking and gaming performance on mid-to-high graphics.

Cameras

For optics, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ feature the same specifications, both opting for a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 primary sensor with OIS support. The other two lenses across both phones are also the same. The two phones also have similar front cameras.

The Redmi Note 13 5G opts for a lower resolution 108 MP primary sensor with OIS, although it retains the same ultrawide and replaces the macro lens for a depth sensor. Additionally, the 16 MP selfie camera on the Note 13 5G is limited to 1080p video at 30fps as opposed to 60fps on the Pro models.

Battery

Battery capacity is more or less similar across all three variants. However, charging speeds tend to differ with the Note 13 5G offering the slowest charging of the three and the Note 13 Pro+ offering the fastest. On paper, the all three phones should deliver all-day battery life with medium-to-high usage
