Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Vigilance Bureau has nabbed a Sub Inspector red handed while accepting bring of Rs. 5000.
Disclsoing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Sub Inspector, Mewa Singh posted at sadar police station, Sunam, district Sangrur was nabbed on the complaint of Darbara Singh S/o Late Mehar Singh of Village Namada, district Patiala. The complainant alleged that a case was pending against him and his son and Sub Inspector Mewa Singh was demanding bribe of Rs. 5000 for helping him in this case by filing early challan in this case.
Acting on the tip off giving by the complainant a team of Vigilance Bureau headed by DSP, Preetipal Singh laid a trap and apprehended the Sub Inspector red handed with the bribe money.
