India on Friday defeated South Africa by a huge margin of 82 runs with the help of brilliant performances from Dinesh Karthik and Avesh Khan.
Earlier, South Africa won the toss for 4th consecutive time and invited India to bat first. Despite a slow start, Team India managed to post a fighting 169 on board, courtesy of a stunning half-century from Dinesh Karthik.
South Africa’s run-chase started off with an unfortunate injury as skipper Temba Bavuma walked off from the field in the 4th over after sustaining a shoulder injury. Later, in the next over, Quinton de Kock got run-out for just 14 runs and SA couldn’t steady the innings as they lost wickets regularly and got bundled out for 87 runs.
