Twitter destroys Kunal Kamra for trolling The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files just made Rs 200 crore, and counting, at the box office.

The film has not only received commercial success but has been critically appreciated as well. While The Kashmir Files doesn’t seem to slow down, many have pointed out that the profits from the film should be donated. Comedian Kunal Kamra jumped the bandwagon and has shared similar views on Twitter. However, he got brutally trolled on the microblogging site.

KUNAL KAMRA TAKES A DIG AT THE KASHMIR FILES

Kunal Kamra took to Twitter to share a video where Vivek Agnihotri is seen responding to a question about donating The Kashmir Files’ earnings. During a press conference, when Vivek was asked if he plans to donate the profits, he says, “Kamai hogi toh baat karenge (Let the money come in, we will talk then).”

“Desh ke liye jaan dene ke liye ready hai par desh ke logo ko paise dene ke liye nahi(sic),” Kunal captioned his post.

NETIZENS SLAM KUNAL FOR TRYING TO TROLL VIVEK AGNIHOTRI

Several Twitter users replied to Kunal’s tweet and slammed him for trying to troll Vivek Agnihotri. One user said, “Haven’t seen any Khan given out money after earning 300 cr….why him. Please explain with logic (sic),” while another wrote, “Did Sanjay Leela Bhansali give the profits of Gangubai for betterment of the lives of prostitutes? Was the money earned from Chak De used to improve the condition of the women’s hockey team? Mandir bana nahi ki aa gaye katora leke bheek mangne (sic).”

Take a look at some of the reactions here:

Most recently, Madhya Pradesh IAS officer Niyaz Khan tweeted to Vivek Agnihotri asking him donate his earnings from The Kashmir Files towards the ‘Brahmin children’s education and construction of homes for them in Kashmir’. Vivek Agnihotri hit back and said, “Please give an appointment so we can meet and exchange ideas how we can help and how you can help with the royalty of your books and your power as an IAS officer (sic).”

Meanwhile, The Kashmir Files has shattered all box-office records and is continuing to set new ones every day. After crossing the Rs 100-crore mark on March 18, the film has now entered the Rs 200-crore club.

The Kashmir Files was released on March 11. Based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus during the Kashmir insurgency in 1990, the film stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi in lead roles.
